Title: New doctor dedicated to women’s health

A new doctor dedicated to improving women’s health has joined the team at Bass Coast Health.

Dr Sarah Beck is working as a GP Obstetrician providing antenatal and obstetric care to women across the Bass Coast.

She offers extensive experience across the spectrum of women’s health, including obstetrics, contraception, menopause and sexual health.

“I am passionate about women’s health and am dedicated to improving health outcomes for women through every life stage, especially women in regional and remote areas,” she said.

“I am focused on supportive, personalised, and high quality healthcare for women and their families, and feel privileged to be part of the Bass Coast Health team.”

Dr Beck is also certified to perform colposcopy and has a Diploma in Child Health.

Originally from New Zealand, Dr Beck moved to Australia about 12 years ago with her husband Ben, who is also a GP.

“We have lived and worked all around Australia, including a 4 year stint on Thursday Island in Far North Queensland,” she said.

“We are now happily settled in South Gippsland with our 2 young children, plus a few sheep, cows and chickens.”

“I was drawn to Bass Coast Health as it has a wonderful reputation and an amazing team of dedicated midwives and doctors who are passionate about providing high quality, evidenced based medical care to women in the Bass Coast region.”

To make an appointment with Dr Beck or another GP Obstetrician, Dr Megan Scott, women can book by calling BCH Maternity on 5671 3201.
